---Kazuo [intro]

The sun was rising over the horizon, lighting up the horizon and revealing the massive wonder called the Earth Kingdom. Kazuo opened his eyes, knowing that this event was taking place yet unable to witness it. He could make out very minor light changes and shadows but that was about the extent of what he could make out; it had been that way for almost as long as he could remember.

One would think that being blind would cripple a person, make them weak, unable to fend for themselves. And under most circumstances that would be a very true statement, but it was not that way for an earth bender...especially one like Kazuo. Being an earth bender meant that you had the potential to be one with the very ground you walked upon; you could feel every rift, every vibration, every step just like it did. Since Kazuo had been blind for most of his life he had learned how to do just that.

Kazuo was due for a bit of entertainment early that morning, so after throwing his sack over his shoulder he immediately made his way towards the stage he had so many times before preformed at. Today the streets were just as crowded as they always were but Kazuo managed to make his way through the crowd as if he could see every person; in fact he made his way through the masses of people even better than some who could actually use their eyes.

After arriving at the stage he felt his employer rush over towards him, and he sounded a little rushed by the hastiness of his steps. “Kazuo! I’m glad you’re here! We need someone in that arena now…the previous performer is actually sending people away they’re so bad!”

Kazuo let out a chuckle. “No worries boss…I’ve got it covered,” he replied, dropping his sack at the edge of the stage and making his way out to the middle. Then, the show began. The way Kazuo Earth bended seemed so unlike the usual way; he moved with the ground, became one with it, there was an art to his bending. Occasionally there would be competitions as well; Earth benders would all gather around to see who was the best in ‘friendly’ battles and Kazuo was undefeated in the matches he had taken part in. Which was one of the reasons he often drew a crowd whenever he performed.
